On the 26th November 2011, members of the Durham Stammer Support group held another stammer awareness session to raise the profile of stammering in adults and to promote the support group in Durham. Members of the group spoke to the public about stammering and quite a few individuals approached the stall to talk about their experiences and those of family and friends.
This was our first opportunity to display our new banner promoting the group. Being bright orange it attracted a lot of attention and was seen and read by many people that day.
We also raised £115 on the tombola. Some of this money will go towards supporting group activities and some will go to the BSA.
Many thanks to all the group members for suporting the event on such a cold day.
